Selecting a Personal Companion

Screenings

Safety is a very important consideration of Heart Night Services. Personal Companions will go through a screening process that facilitates a background check that includes criminal reports, employment verification, education verification and urinalysis.

Interviews

Personal Companions are interviewed by Heart Night Services management to assess a potential candidate as suitable representative of HNS.

Hiring

When Personal Companions are hired they will go through an initial process of making sure they are CPR/First Aid certified. Also, we will provide standardized training to all newly hired personal companions to ensure that they will be well-trained in safety issues when they come into your home and have a well-informed understanding of their role as a personal companion.

Family Interview

Once the family has identified a package that suitable for their needs, then they will select Personal Companions that they would like to provide services in their home. Families will be able to select three of the five personal companions identified for interview. Interviews will be in person and conducted at the residence preferably with the party that will receive the service (i.e. child, children, and/or senior).

Companion Selection

After interviews are completed, families will select their primary, secondary, and tertiary Personal Companions that will provide service to them.
